Rogers Communications will acquire Kilmer Sports' remaining 25% stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment for C$4.35 billion, giving Rogers full ownership of MLSE alongside its existing Toronto Blue Jays and Sportsnet holdings. The deal, financed through committed liquidity, is subject to league approvals and expected to close in Q4 2026, with Rogers also planning to sell a minority stake in its combined sports and entertainment assets within the next year.
Kroger will acquire Giant Eagle, a family-owned regional grocer with roughly $9 billion in annual sales and 197 supermarkets across five states, for $1.65 billion ($1.25 billion cash plus assumption of about $400 million in liabilities). The all-cash deal expands Kroger into new Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic markets, expected to close in 2027 pending regulatory clearance and limited store divestitures.
Monomoy Capital Partners has completed its acquisition of Jiffy Lube from Shell for approximately $1.3 billion, taking the fast oil change pioneer—serving roughly 19 million customers annually across more than 2,000 service centers—private under Monomoy's Fund V. Financing was led by Golub Capital, Ares Credit, and MidCap Financial as joint lead arrangers, positioning Jiffy Lube as a standalone entity focused on growth with its franchise network.
Mavis Tire will acquire Pep Boys from Icahn Enterprises for approximately $700 million in cash, expanding Mavis's network to more than 4,400 service centers across the US and Canada with a strengthened presence in the Western US. Icahn Enterprises will retain Pep Boys' owned real estate along with the AAMCO Transmissions and Precision Tune Auto Care businesses, with the deal expected to close in the coming months.

Versant Media Group will acquire golf and sports technology company Full Swing from Bruin Capital for approximately $530 million in cash, adding interactive simulation, launch monitors, and performance data software to its golf portfolio alongside Golf Channel, GolfNow, and GolfPass. Full Swing will operate within Versant's Digital Platforms and Ventures division under CEO Ryan Dotters, with the deal expected to close in the second half of 2026.
